Creativity Abounds

Isn't this a beautiful painting on the cover of the June 2009 Decorative Painter magazine? This was painted by the wonderfully talented Liz Miller, CDA, who by the way is going to be teaching a class for us at Creative Workshops called Learning to Draw Faces.

If you've ever wanted to get the basics down of drawing a face so you can create your own faces for your art work, then this video class is for you. Liz gives you great close ups as she teaches you the "how" of the basics of an adult face, a childs face and more. And with her laid back style and explanations she makes it so easy to learn! So hop on over to Creative Workshops and find some affordable fun for the summer where you can watch and learn at your own pace.

And while you're there check out our Just Charming - Soldering 101 Class. Lorraine Stobie will introduce you to the "charms" of soldering by creating some wonderful soldered charms. Again, this video class puts you right up front and center and you can see everything Lorraine does! C'mon you know you've been wanting to learn. Now is your chance to learn at an affordable price! :-)

That's a gorgeous painting, you're right. Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to check out that class. Never did get the hang of faces! I took a drawing class once and remember the eyes are halfway down the head, but the rest is a blur.

I received my Decorative Painter yesterday and at first thought it was a real window but when I looked inside it was just the way she painted it. Liz is a beautiful painter, I think I will head over to Creative Workshops to see what is going on. Love your blog.
