A Hunting I Did Go

For pictures that is.  And I found them!
It's been snowing since yesterday morning.  We absolutely had a white Christmas and it was beautiful.

a little wren who posed for me

Papa Cardinal

and Mama Cardinal

Daydreamer?

Oh wait, it's a Jay!

A new visitor this week, a male Downey Woodpecker

I had thoughts to get dressed and go outside
to take pictures of the snowfall...

but when I stepped outside to check the temperature I thought
...nah...a few pictures from the porch will do...
and then a mad dash back to the cozy fireplace

Oh I DO hope your Christmas was as wonderful as mine
and that all your wishes came true!
Love to you all!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day, Gail.

Your photos are beautiful. We don't get birds like that in our garden! And I'd just love a porch like that - with the views of course. :)

Oh those pictures are just something to behold. Thank you so much for sharing those with us. It is only something for the imagination here in Australia. My brother gets a white Christmas living in Baltimore but I am so in love with your beautiful photo's.
I especially love the little Cardinals. they are just lovely.

Oh my goodness, those are breathtakingly gorgeous pictures. Snow always looks so magical to me and the birds are beautiful! Here on the other side of the world, it is hot and muggy and at the moment, well for the past few days it has been raining heavily so beach going has been ruled out...so instead I can dream of a beautiful white snowy wonderland, looking at your photos.
Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas.

Gail these photos look like they belong in a storeybook. Just so BEAUTIFUL. I could look at them for ages....and those gorgeous little birds. Do they live in your garden all year round? What camera have you used to get these close up shots? Beauty surrounds you even though it is hard to get out in it at present.
Love, Suzy

We had a White Christmas here in England too Gail - it lasted 3 weeks! All fog and drizzle now though, unfortunately. Beautiful photos of your private Wonderland, thanks for sharing. A Very Happy and Creative New Year to you and yours Gail.
